A group of Ranga juniors is preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime as they begin fundraising for a 2025 tour to Japan.

The Under 13 Gladiators will take 30 players and five tour management on an unforgettable adventure late next year.

While the set itinerary of who the Gladiators will play is still to be determined, the team has already begun their fundraising efforts and club members will be able to support them over the coming months.

Team manager Franz Maritz said the tour will be about more than just rugby.

“It will be a full immersion into a new culture, where our young athletes will experience the rich traditions, unique lifestyle, and social connections Japan has to offer. Representing New Zealand on an international stage, these players will grow through team-building, goal-setting, and learning the values of discipline and sportsmanship in an entirely new environment.”
