The Cobra 10s beckons for some of the Ranga’s top talent, with a squad selected and due to travel to Malaysia later this month.
An internationally renowned tournament, the Cobra 10s attracts big name players, coaches and teams from across the globe.
The Ranga has a squad of 18 players and five management traveling up to the tournament which is played on 2-3 November.
Dwayne Polataivao is coaching the side with the support of Boof, while Ken Johns and Mike Biddick will travel as support staff.
The team is made up of players from the Premiers, Premier Development, Under 85kg Panthers, Under 21s and school leavers with Boof saying the aim is to support recruitment, retention and development.
Riley Harrison and Randall Baker will captain the side, which includes two school leavers (a familiar name in Oisin Dunn, the younger brother of Pasqualle, Tane and Andre).
Extensive fundraising has taken place, with the team eager to thank the rugby community for their support. Club members will also notice the striking orange kit, a throwback to old school Howick jerseys of the 1950s.
