Another big weekend of games is in store as our senior teams approach the business end of the season.

Our Premiers and PDs make the big trip across the city to face Waitemata, while the Belles host their western opposition Waitakere City, the Panthers host the Eden Lizards and the Pressies head out to play East Tamaki tonight.

The Prems recorded a big win at home last weekend and are expecting a tougher challenge tomorrow.

“We know its going to be tough. They are a team full of pride, and dub themselves the black wall, its not easy going all the way over there and getting a win,” said coach Boof.

A number of changes have been made, with Lotu Finau shifting to the flanks (from hooker) while Randall Baker is set to wear the number 6 jersey for the first time this season.

George Sims and Mickey van Wyk return and will start at nine-ten respectively, while Fea Puamoto is on the bench for his first premier cap of 2024.

“We want to go out there and put in a good performance, if we do that and can lock in a bonus point we’ll be in good shape for two massive home games in a row against GTEC and Marist,” said Boof.

The PDs also face Waitemata, with Andre Dunn pulling on the number 10 jersey and John Taumoepeau coming into second five eighths.

The Belles will play a 10-aside match against Waitakere and will be aiming for their first win of the season.

After a big win on Waiheke last weekend the Under 85kg Black Panthers have made a number of changes ahead of their match against the Eden Lizards. Regan McGregor returns to fullback, while centurion Ben Biggelaar starts loosehead prop.

The Pressies play under lights tonight against neighbours, East Tamaki and the Under 21s have a bye.
