Chances are if you have driven up the main street of Howick you have seen proud Pakuranga United Rugby Club sponsors STIHL Shop.

Situated next to the Howick Green, Garth and the team at STIHL Shop Howick are in their second year supporting the club.

“We don’t have a personal connection to PURC but being a local business supporting the club I feel they are my new team and I'm always keen to watch a game and keep up to date with the players involved and results each weekend,” said owner Garth Deenik.

Locally owned, the store sells and services all makes of outdoor power equipment, tools and accessories. They sell garden accessories, garden bags, BBQs, outdoor heaters, generators, water pumps, they are stockists of Wet & Forget and also do key cutting.

Garth said supporting Pakuranga is a great way to get involved in the community.

“I enjoy the local atmosphere, meeting locals and hearing their stories about the club and the Howick/Pakuranga area. Many members are likely customers; I like to contribute to the local community who are supporting me.”
