Premiers
After a narrow loss to competition leaders University last weekend, the premiers face another tough assignment this weekend playing on the carpet at College Rifles. Only bonus points separate the two teams in the standings, with our premiers ahead, sitting in eight spot. A win this weekend will be key in advancing the season. A few injuries have seen a re-jig in the premier line up, notably the return of club stalwart Adam Darracott to the second row.
Premier Development
The Premier Development have had a perfect start to the 2022 season, with five wins from five, and collecting five bonus points to boot. They beat second ranked University 57-29 last weekend, and this weekend will travel to play the third placed College Rifles.
Under 21 Cannons
After claiming a win by default last weekend, this Saturday the Cannons hit the road to face Waitemata. The Cannons currently sit in sixth but with a game in hand having had their bye, the top four is a real possibility.
Under 21 Guns
The Guns went down last weekend 20-36 at the hands of University and will have another tough assignment this Saturday when they host Papatoetoe. The visitors are undefeated so far this season, while the Guns are sitting in seventh equal on the competition ladder.
Under 85kg Panthers
A hard fought 23-18 win over Eden last weekend has the Panthers prepared for their first match of the National U85kg Club Cup this weekend. The team sit in the top eight in the Auckland competition, but this weekend will host the Pukekohe Pirates in what is a knock out competition. We wish the Panthers the best of luck!
Women’s Belles
Our Belles had a tough loss against Ponsonby last weekend and this weekend will have a bye.
Presidents
The Presidents also take a well earned break after a 30-5 win over at Waitemata last weekend.
