The club is happy to announce Tim Buxton and Jamie Hodgetts as coaches for the Premier Development side in 2022.
The Premier Development side has been one of the club’s most successful senior teams in recent years, winning the competition in 2015 and 2017. The PD team is a very important part of the club.
Direct of Rugby Grant ‘Boof’ Henson said the club is lucky to have Timmy and Jamie onboard with this team for next season.
“We know these guys work well together so we’re excited to see what they achieve with the prem d’s next year.”
A Pakuranga centurion, Tim is a stalwart at the club and after hanging up the boots he began coaching and has been involved with Under 20s, Under 21s and premier development.
“I’m looking forward to building a great team culture next year and a strong team to take on the competition,” said Tim.
Jamie joined the club two years ago and has over a decade’s coaching experience. He has premier coaching experience at both College Rifles and Manukau Rovers but is now a proud ranga man.
“The best thing about Pakuranga is the community and family vibe. Everyone genuinely loves playing for the club, the majority come from the local catchment and know each other from their school days which means culture and bonds are formed quickly,” said Jamie.
