The PURC Summer Touch Competition is not far from getting under way! Time to get your team back together and sign up for the 2015-16 Touch rugby season. Do you want to become a Touch Ref here at PURC?

We are looking for people who would be keen to get involved with reffing touch here at PURC. Get involved before or after you play your own game or just ref full time! If you are keen to give reffing a go please contact Ben at touch@purc.co.nz or 09 5767928 ext 1. The starting rate per game will be $8.50. Once you have completed the online course and give us confirmation that you have completed it we will bump you up to $12.50 per game. We will expect you to come along to our meeting at the start of the year to also go over the rules of touch with someone from Counties Manukau Touch. All payments are made via Prezzie cards (One before Christmas and one at the end of the season)

Do you want to become a Junior Touch Coach here at PURC?

We are looking for our Senior players and Senior Academy Players ages 15 to 22 to get involved and help out with the Individual teams which we run through the club. On a Wednesday we hold a bunch of teams that the club puts together from individual registrations. If you are interested in taking a team please contact Ben at touch@purc.co.nz or 09 5767928 ext 1. This will require you to show up 30 minutes before the game to warm them up and run them through a couple of drills as well as take charge of reffing a game every second week. For this job you will be paid $20 per team you look after. There is the opportunity to look after two teams on one night. One in the first round and one in the third. This will mean warming up team one for the first round, helping them while playing. Then warming up team two and helping them while they play in the last round. All payments will be made via Prezzie cards (One before Christmas and one at the end of the season)
