Plenty of Pakuranga players are continuing their seasons with Rep rugby in full swing.
Premier prop Oscar Cowley-Andrea has earnt his first start for Auckland, in their match against Taranaki tomorrow at Eden Park – he has come off the bench in their first two matches.
This weekend he looks likely to be joined by Randall Baker who is being called up onto the Auckland bench, should Randall make the field it would be his debut.
Across the bridge Harlyn Saunoa makes his NPC debut after being loaned from Auckland to North Harbour and being named on the wing for their clash against Hawke’s Bay.
He’s not the only Ranga man over on the shore, premier prop Leka Tuungafasi transferred and was named in the North Harbour squad while in the coaching ranks, Grant ‘Boof’ Hansen is the assistant coach for the NPC team, and 2025 Belles coach Scott Collins is heading up the Harbour FPC team.
Back here in Auckland we have several players selected in the Auckland Development, Under 19s and Under 85kg teams, with their campaigns kicking off tomorrow.
Lotu Finau, Moses Hafoka, Cruiz Overend and Nic Profitt are all in the Auckland Bs, while Gary Basson, Oisin Dunn, Boston Krone and Zeph Lototau are in the Under 19s.
An impressive nine Panthers have been named in the Auckland Under 85kg team, Fred Boot, Jeandre du Toit, Rory Cavanagh, Callum Dimond, GC Els, Finley Dixon, Francis Morrison, Jamie Petford and Maika Rova all donning the blue and white hoops this season.
After the conclusion of the schools season we will see Under 18 teams announced and look forward to seeing more of our local players recognised with rep honours.
